Green initiative in paper consumables launched
March 2010

We have joined forces with a key supplier, Metsa Tissue, to promote environmentally friendly paper consumables which can also save customers money.  This focus is an extension of our successful long running partnership with Metsa. It recognises the twin criteria of a desire of increased environmental observance, with the immense cost pressures the industry is currently facing.

Metsa Tissue’s paper products are sourced from Scandinavian forests as part of a forestry programme that actually plants more trees every year than are removed.

Our part in the chain is educating contract cleaners in efficient paper use.  We also help contract cleaners to introduce to their clients the benefits for corporate social responsibility, and the potential cost savings for ends users and contract cleaners.

MD stimulates industry debate
March 2009

An article Brian Chapman (our MD) wrote about the relationship between manufacturers of cleaning supplies and their distributors was published in Cleaning and Hygiene Today (CHT), a major industry magazine.  It provoked some significant discussion in the industry which resulted in a debate at the recent Cleaning Show at the NEC.

The article discussed how good working relationships between manufacturers and distributors could build business for all concerned, but that many major manufacturers did not work like that, to the detriment of their business.  It recommended ways on how the relationships can be improved, and turned into true partnerships.

Annabel Hilder, Editor of CHT, said, “We were delighted to get Brian’s thought-provoking piece.  It shows someone thinking beyond just their own company, and understanding that developing best practice partnerships throughout the industry will benefit many companies.
